Henry Cavill has, in just a short amount of time, proven to be a global force in both film and television.

Henry is best known for the dual role of ‘Clark Kent/Superman,’ becoming the first non-American actor to step into the iconic suit, in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. The worldwide box office hit became the highest-grossing Superman film to date. Cavill went on to reprise his role in Snyder’s hit film Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, alongside Ben Affleck and Amy Adams. This November, audiences will again see Cavill as Superman in the highly anticipated Justice League, teamed with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa.

His upcoming films also include the psychological thriller Nomis, directed by David Raymond, in which he stars with Ben Kingsley, Stanley Tucci and Alexandra Daddario. Cavill is currently filming Mission: Impossible 6, opposite Tom Cruise. The latest film in the blockbuster franchise is helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, and will be released next summer.

This past April, Netflix debuted Fernando Coimbra’s war drama Sand Castle, in which Cavill stars alongside Nicholas Hoult and Logan Marshall-Green.

Born in the Channel Islands, the British actor made his feature film debut in The Count of Monte Cristo for director Kevin Reynolds. Cavill went on to star in the Golden Globe-nominated Showtime series The Tudors.

Following The Tudors, he continued his acting success by starring in Woody Allen’s romantic comedy Whatever Works, and the action film Immortals, for director Tarsem Singh.

Cavill, together with his brother Charlie, co-founded the production company Promethean Productions, expanding his involvement in all aspects of filmmaking. The brothers are currently seeking out and developing new projects that challenge them creatively.

In addition to his acting career, Cavill is deeply involved in philanthropic activities. He is the Ambassador for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, a conservation organization that seeks to save species from extinction. He also works closely with The Royal Marines Charity (RMC), a charity that raises money to provide a better quality of life to both serving and retired Royal Marines and their families.
