Sam Kieth broke into the comic book business by co-creating and illustrating The Sandman  for D.C.  and later  Kieth began drawing Wolverine covers for Marvel Comics Presents. In 1993 Kieth created The Maxx, for Image Comics, later adapted the comic into an animated series for MTV.  Other work creator owned work includes My Inner Bimbo, Zero-girl, Ojo, Four Women, and The Hollows, the more recently Eleanor and the Egret created along with Chew' writer John Layman.
